Celebrating 50 years of support for education in East and the Horn of Africa
In April 2027, Windle International and Windle Trust International will host Empowered by Education, a global scholarships alumni conference marking 50 years of education, partnership and impact.
Delivered in partnership with the Hugh Pilkington Charitable Trust, the conference will connect alumni, partners and stakeholders to celebrate past achievements and shape practical responses to education challenges facing conflict-affected and displaced communities across East and the Horn of Africa.
Why this conference, and why now?
Across the region, education systems are under pressure from conflict, displacement and long-term underinvestment, while WI and WTI alumni are already working in the sectors and communities where change is needed.
